This
is Paul's Professional Window Cleaning, not Andy's Amateur
Window Cleaning. Webster's dictionary defines professionalism
one of three ways. Let me quote, "Professionalism:
participating for gain or livelihood in an activity or
field of endeavor often engaged in by amateurs". This
could not be more true in the window cleaning industry
today. It seems that every guy with a pole and their mom's
station wagon enters into the window cleaning industry.
Unfortunately, these people who don't know any better,
charge very low for their services, carry no insurance
or auto insurance for that matter, and usually are only
concerned with making "easy" money.
I
have always maintained the highest standards for myself
and for my company and have always lived by the creed
of integrity, honesty and professionalism in everything
I do. I started my business with my last $15.00, a bucket,
some ammonia and a gas station squeegee. Fifteen years
later I am the largest residential window cleaning company
in three cities offering a "clearly superior" service,
in the greater Los Angeles area. I, like you, take great
pride in my work and my professionalism and live by a
code of ethics based upon professionalism. As an industry,
we have come a long way, but still must continue our plight
to reverse the thinking of the general public's perception
that window cleaners are unintelligent and are one step
above bums. I have dedicated my business to reversing
this kind of ignorant thinking by doing the very best
professional job any customer could get anywhere, anytime!
Above
all else, maintain your professionalism and show your
customer that you are the best company they can hire and
they are getting the best service they can get anywhere.
My Dad always asked one simple, yet very difficult thing
from me, "do your best, your very best, son". As I have
grown, I have found doing your best, your very best is
the hardest thing you can do.
